1-2-3 Months!

Baby Z came on a busy afternoon for his 3 month pics.  We actually shot the entire session in my bedroom on the floor in front of the sliders to my deck!  Can you tell?  Hint:  look at the catchlights in his eyes!

Mackinac Bride

This weekend I am staying on Mackinac Island, a place that is very special because this is where my husband and I were married. It was truly a magical, storybook wedding day.

I am excited because I am attending a photography workshop here and have had some exciting opportunities to do some traditional and very non-traditional wedding photography. I will post some images from throughout the weekend in the next couple blogs. For now, here is the beautiful bride Heather and her handsome groom Adam.

Married in 5

This was a beautiful, yet unusual, wedding that I shot this weekend with TAK Photography.  I say unusual because the couple was married in under five minutes!  The bride walked down the aisle, they exchanged vows and rings, and then the kiss!  Wow.  For that reason alone, this will be a memorable wedding to those that attended!

I always advise couples that if they can schedule 2-3 hours for photos, it will be well worth it! This couple allowed for three hours and we toured the campus of Grand Valley State University where they married taking photographs throughout the various garden areas.  This time of year, everything is so lush and beautiful!  On the way to the reception, we stopped with the bridal party to take some quick photos at the apple orchard owned by the bride's parents.  

These two were the stars of the dance floor!  So cute!!!

Beautiful One

I first met Courtney & Steve in Chicago this past winter when Theresa & I shot engagement sessions for our respective couples.  It was a lot of fun, not only because we were in such a fun place to shoot, but because both couples were so full of joy and love for each other.  Now Courtney and Steve are married!  Here's a look at their magical day....
